1st Due Fire |
|
February 23 - Box alarm 11-01 was
dispatched at 1947 hours sending Company 11 and surrounding
companies to a house fire in the 1st block of Firehouse Rd in
the Village. Engine 11 arrived with fire to the rear and
requested the working fire dispatch. Crews pulled hand lines
while additional firefighters searched the house after a
report that an occupant was still inside. Searches were
negative and the fire was under control at 2030 hours. Company
11 returned to service at 2330 hours and were assisted on
scene by Marysville, Duncannon, Summerdale, New Buffalo, West
Enola, Hampden, West Shore Bureau of Fire, Marysville EMS,
Duncannon EMS and West Shore ALS. |

Polar Bear Plunge |
|
January 1 - Rescue 11 stood by along with Ambulance and Squad 6
at Mr. G's Waterfront Tavern in Marysville to support
Duncannon's water rescue operations in the event of an
emergency during the Polar Bear Plunge to raise funds for
Trenton Noll. Engine 11 was on hand also because Trenton
wanted to see a Fire Truck. Trenton is a 2-year-old boy from
Liverpool with an inoperable brain tumor. This event raised
approximately $1,300 to help offset Trenton's medical bills
and travel expenses. Our volunteers donated fuel for the PFC
apparatus. |

Rye Twp Garage |
|
December 10 - Box alarm 6-02 was
dispatched at 0526 hours sending Rescue 11 to assist
Marysville with an attached garage fire in the 2000 block of
Holly St in Rye Twp. The Rescue with 4 arrived and started a
primary search as Marysville's crew knocked the fire down that
was only burning on the exterior of the garage. Rescue 11
firefighters also checked for extension, assisted with
overhaul and ventilated. Rescue 11 returned to service at 0622
hours. |

Another Box in
Duncannon |
|
September 19 - Engine 11 w/6 was
again dispatched to assist Duncannon with a reported house
fire in the 100 block of Cumberland St in the Borough at 2024
hours. Company 2 arrived with a kitchen fire with extension to
the living and dining room and made quick work of the fire.
The Engine's crew checked the basement and assisted with
overhaul. Engine 11 returned to service at 2055 hours |

Box Alarm in Duncannon |
|
September 15 - Engine 11 was
dispatched on Box 2-01 for a house fire in the 1st block of N
market St in Duncannon. The Engine arrived and crews pulled a handline into the exposure B building and assisted the
homeowners from the building. Crews then advanced that line to
the attic of the main fire building. Engine 11 and 7 members
returned to service at 0545 hours. Chief 11-2 had interior. |

Mountain Fire |
|
August 20 - Engine 11 was dispatched
to assist Duncannon at 1615 hours for a reported Mountain fire
along the Appalachian Trail. Engine 11 and Rescue 11 w/12
responded up Spur Rd to the state game lands and accessed the
fire using a personal vehicle and Cumberland Brush 20. Crews
found a 100' x 200' area burning in rocky terrain. Company 11
returned to service at 0215 hours. |

Box Alarm in Marysville |
|
July 29 - Rescue 11 was dispatched just
after noon for a reported house fire in the 300 block of Front
St in Marysville today. Engine 11 responded with 4 in place of
the Rescue and arrived to assist Marysville and Summerdale
firefighters with ventilating a house that overcooked some
food. Command 6 held the box to Engine 6, 11 and 20 and the
Engine returned to service a short while later. |

Assist to Marysville |
|
July 19 - Rescue 11 was dispatched
at 2321 hours to assist Marysville with a vehicle accident on
Lambs Gap Rd in Rye Twp. The Rescue arrived and assisted with
lighting before returning to service at 0100 hours. |

Crash w/ Dual Ejection |
|
June 26 - Rescue 11 was dispatched
at 1954 hours
to assist Marysville with a vehicle accident with dual
ejection in the 1400 block of New Valley Rd in Rye Twp. The
Rescue responded with 7 and was diverted to the Rye Twp
municipal building by Chief 6-1 to establish a landing zone.
Rescue 11 was again diverted to a field on the east side of
the accident to set up the LZ for Stat Medivac and Life
Flight. Two occupants were thrown from the vehicle and
airlifted to a local trauma center while another occupant
succumbed to the injuries sustained in the accident. The
Rescue returned to service at 2125 hours. |

Car vs Deer |
|
June 7 - Rescue's 11 and 2 were
dispatched at 0747 hours on Box 11-01 for a vehicle accident
in the 1400 block of State Rd in Penn Twp. Crews arrived to
find a vehicle had struck a deer and members directed traffic.
The Rescue was availlable at 0815 hours. |

Box Alarm in
Marysville |
|
May 31 - Box Alarm 6-01 was
dispatched at 0141 hours bring Rescue 11 to a reported house
fire in the 600 block of Linden Av in
Marysville. Engine 6 arrived to find a burning couch in
the residence and knocked it down. Company 11 members assisted
with the removal of the couch and set up PPV. The Rescue w/ 8
returned to service at 0230 hours. |

ATV Accident |
|
May 23 - Company 11 members self
dispatched ( after hearing EMS sent) to an ATV accident in the
100 block of Firehouse Rd in the Village at 1718 hours.
Rescue 11 arrived to find an ATV vs a tree with an adult
female injured and started patient care. Engine 11-1 responded
to the Middle School for a Landing zone for Life Lion. M86
cancelled Life Lion after assessing the patient. Company 11
returned to service at 1805. |

Prom Promise |
|
May 2 - Company 11, along with
Duncannon, New Buffalo and Marysville Fire Companies,
Duncannon EMS, West Shore ALS, Duncannon Police, PA State
Police and the Perry County Coroner's Office took part in the
Prom Promise program at Susquenita School District. |

Crash w/ Flyout |
|
April 9 - Rescue 11 was alerted to
assist
Marysville with a vehicle vs a tree in the 1400 block of
Valley Rd in Rye Twp. The Rescue responded and was diverted to
the Marysville Lions Club to land Life Lion. The Rescue
returned to service at 0315hours. |

Working Fire in Rye Twp |
|
March 31 - Box Alarm 6-02 was
dispatched at 1045 hours bringing Rescue 11 to a building fire
in the 1st block of Flowers Ln in Rye Twp. The Rescue with 3
arrived with Rescue 6 to find a 100 x 50 commercial building
with fire showing from side B. The Rescue crew performed
a primary search and advanced a second line to assist in
knockdown. Retired Chief Supko had command and the Rescue
returned to service at 1515 hours. |
