Crash w/ Dual Ejection |
|
June 26 - Rescue 11 was dispatched
to assist Marysville with a vehicle accident with dual
ejection in the 1400 block of New Valley Rd in Rye Twp. The
Rescue responded with 7 and was diverted to the Rye Twp
municipal building by Chief 6-1 to establish a landing zone.
Rescue 11 was again diverted to a field on the east side of
the accident to set up the LZ for Stat Medivac and Life
Flight. Two occupants were thrown from the vehicle and
airlifted to a local trauma center while another occupant
succumbed to the injuries sustained in the accident. |

Box Alarm in
Marysville |
|
May 31 - Box Alarm 6-01 was
dispatched at 0141 hours bring Rescue 11 to a reported house
fire in the 600 block of Linden Av in
Marysville. Engine 6 arrived to find a burning couch in
the residence and knocked it down. Company 11 members assisted
with the removal of the couch and set up PPV. The Rescue w/ 8
returned to service at 0230 hours. |

ATV Accident |
|
May 23 - Company 11 members self
dispatched ( after hearing EMS sent) to an ATV accident in the
100 block of Firehouse Rd in the Village at 1718 hours.
Rescue 11 arrived to find an ATV vs a tree with an adult
female injured and started patient care. Engine 11-1 responded
to the Middle School for a Landing zone for Life Lion. M86
cancelled Life Lion after assessing the patient. Company 11
returned to service at 1805. |

Prom Promise |
|
May 2 - Company 11, along with
Duncannon, New Buffalo and Marysville Fire Companies,
Duncannon EMS, West Shore ALS, Duncannon Police, PA State
Police and the Perry County Coroner's Office took part in the
Prom Promise program at Susquenita School District. |

April 9 - Rescue 11 was alerted to
assist
Marysville with a vehicle vs a tree in the 1400 block of
Valley Rd in Rye Twp. The Rescue responded and was diverted to
the Marysville Lions Club to land Life Lion. The Rescue
returned to service at 0315hours. |

Working Fire in Rye Twp |
|
March 31 - Box Alarm 6-02 was
dispatched at 1045 hours bringing Rescue 11 to a building fire
in the 1st block of Flowers Ln in Rye Twp. The Rescue with 3
arrived with Rescue 6 to find a 100 x 50 commercial building
with fire showing from side B. The Rescue crew performed
a primary search and advanced a second line to assist in
knockdown. Retired Chief Supko had command and the Rescue
returned to service at 1515 hours. |

March 23 - Rescue 11 was dispatched
at 0927 to assist
Marysville with an accident with entrapment in the 2500
block of Valley Rd in Rye Twp. Rescue 11 w/ 8 members arrived
and assisted with patient removal. Rescue 11 returned to
service at 1025. |

March 12 - Company 11 trained on
ladder placement and hoseline management at the school this
evening. |

Almighties |
|
February 6 - Company 11 trained with
Company 2 (Duncannon)
this evening. Training topics consisted of cribbing and
airbags. |

|
February 3 - Just as the New York Giants were receiving
their accolades as the 2008 Super Bowl Champions, Rescue 11
was alerted at 2219 to assist Company 6 (Marysville) with a
Residential Structure Fire in the 500 Block of Valley Road.
Rescue 11 arrived on-scene to find a two story, wood-frame
construction, vacant single family home with smoke showing
from the porch roof on sides A and B. Rescue 11 crew
placed second ladder to the porch roof, assisted with overhaul
on the second floor quad A and checked for further extension
in the attic. Rescue was available at 0015. |

Fuel Spill - Cove Rd - Penn Twp |
|
January 13 - Rescue 11 was dispatched at 0846 hours to
clean up a fuel spill at a "non-reportable" accident.
Arrived on-scene to find a tractor and trailer on top of
jersey barrier. Appx 40 gallons of fuel and motor oil
were wpilled onto the ground. Crews spread hi-dri and
contained the spill. Township Supervisors were on-scene
providing traffic control. Rescue 11 went available at
1136 leaving the towing company and Northridge Group (Haz Mat)
to clean up the incident. |

Assist Marysville |
|
January 9 - Engine 11 was special requested by Chief 6
at 0956 hours to assist Marysville at a working garage fire in
the Borough. Engine 11 crew provided salvage and
overhaul services. Engine was available at 1113. |

New Years Day Crash |
|
January 1 - Rescue 11 and Engine 11 were dispatched at
0008 hours for a vehicle crash in the 200 block of Schoolhouse
Rd in Penn Twp. Rescue 11 responded with 8 and Rescue 2 was
added in place of Engine 11. Crews arrived to find a single
vehicle into an embankment and pole. The occupant refused EMS
treatment and as handed over to PSP. The Rescue was available
at 0122 hours. |

New Years Eve Crash |
|
December 31 - Rescue 11 was dispatched at 1241 hours to
assist Marysville with a vehicle accident on Rts 11& 15 and
Park Dr in the Borough. The Rescue responded with 6 and
assisted with cribbing and checking for fluids. Rescue 11
returned to service at 1330 hours. |

Transfer |
|
December 29 - Engine 11 transferred to Cumberland
Station 25 (
Monroe)
at 2125 hours while their Engine and Tanker operated on a 2
alarm commercial building fire in Silver Spring Twp. The
Engine crew ran no calls but were fed well. Engine 11 returned
to service at 0130 hours. |

Ice Storm |
|
December 16 - Mother Nature unleashed an ice storm
across central Pennsylvania leaving a thick coating of ice on
everything. Most of the Perdix area was without power for
several days including the firehouse. Company 11 members
provided water and kerosene to one family in the village. We
finally got the power restored to the station at 2003 hours on
the 18th. |

Arts and Craft Show |
|
December 1 - Perdix Fire Company is
a arts and craft show at the firehouse on Saturday December
1st from 9 am till 4 pm. Non food vendors welcome and tables
are only $10.00. The kitchen will be open and there will be
homemade items for the holidays and make and take table

November 9 - Rescue 11 was special
called at 1234 hours to assist
Company 2 with a vehicle accident on Creek Rd in
Penn Twp. Squad 2 had arrived and found a single vehicle into
a tree with a single occupant trapped and requested Rescue 11
to assist with extrication and stabilization. Rescue 11
arrived with 3 and members used 4 rescue struts, 2 airbags and
the little giant ladder to assist with the extrication. Rescue
11 returned to service at 1400 hours. |

Mobile Home Fire in Marysville |
|
October 26 - Box Alarm 6-01 was dispatched at 1137
hours bringing Rescue 11 and surrounding companies to assist
Marysville with a mobile home fire with an occupant trapped at
398 Kings Highway. Rescue 11 responded and arrived 2nd and
assisted with extinguishment, ventilation and overhaul. The
fire was mainly contained to 1 room by the actions of 2
civilians. Interior crews were hampered by the home owner who
refused to leave his smoke filled trailer and got in the way
of those crews. Rescue 11 and 5 members returned to service at
1250 hours. |
